Bucharest mayor Ciprian Ciucu will remain under judicial supervision for another 60 days in a bribery investigation and cannot leave Romania without prior approval. The Bucharest Tribunal on Thursday, August 20, rejected his challenge to the restrictions imposed by anti-corruption prosecutors, Agerpres reported.
Ciucu was placed under judicial supervision by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) in June. Prosecutors recently extended the measure for another two months, from August 17 through October 15.
