Romania records lowest level of CEO confidence in five years, PwC and EIB report surveys say
Romania’s business environment is increasingly pressured, amid economic pressures and an unstable market context. These are reflected in the level of leaders’ confidence in the prospects of their own companies and, implicitly, in their investment decisions, according to two surveys recently published by PwC and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

Only 25% of CEOs in Romania are very or extremely confident that their company will record revenue growth over the next 12 months.
This is the lowest level recorded in the survey’s past five years: the percentage was 42% in the 2025 edition and 51% in 2023.
